The right kitchen flooring will not only make your life easier but will also have the ability to tune your entire room. The three most important things to consider when deciding on the type of kitchen floor are durability, usability, and style. Let’s get closer to some of the most popular options for kitchen floors.

    Wooden floor

Wooden flooring with a warm and attractive tone create a traditional atmosphere in every kitchen. Hard floors are known for their beauty and dignity and durable surfaces that are easy to clean. One of the most popular types of hardwood floors is oak, which has a neutral color and is highly durable. Other popular types of wood used for floors are ash, cherries, and walnut.

    Laminated floor

Laminate is a cost-effective option for a kitchen floor that is durable and easy to maintain. Although the levels of wood and marble floors are not considered the same, laminate can be made to mimic such a look. It is produced in several layers and can be installed on existing floors.

Laminate flooring has impressive durability. The carpet needs to be replaced 2 to 4 times during the life of the laminate floor, solid wood needs 3 to 5 renovation treatments and the vinyl floor needs to be replaced 3 times. Most laminate floors have a manufacturer’s warranty of 25 years or more.

Laminate flooring is extremely durable, so it is a great choice for families with busy kitchens. It resists damage from the operation, leaks, and scratches and makes cleaning and maintenance very easy. Laminate floors will not lose their color over time, while wood floors are likely to disappear. It comes in many different styles and designs and can mimic other types of floors, such as wood, stone, gravel, and concrete.

    Vinyl floor

Vinyl floors are a cheap and convenient option for kitchen floors. Due to its strength and resistance to moisture, it is mainly used in busy areas of the house, such as kitchens and bathrooms. Another reason for its popularity is that, like laminate, it can mimic other floor materials such as stone, marble, and wood.

    Marble floor

Marble floors are known for their natural beauty and unrivaled durability. Marble is a type of metamorphic rock formed under the earth’s crust. Although it is the preferred option for some, marble flooring is not the best choice for kitchen flooring because it is porous and brittle.

Marble floors come in many styles and always give the room a unique look because no two marble tiles are the same. It comes in a variety of colors such as pure white, dark green, brown, gray, and blue. It is classified in grades A to D, A is the strongest with the smallest natural imperfections and D is the softest with the largest number of defects. Although Class A marble is the most expensive, it is the recommended choice for kitchens because it is the strongest.

There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing marble for your kitchen floor. Because marble surfaces can be very slippery or wet, you need to choose a finish that will help create traction for your floor; these includes tumbled and honed finishes. Marble floors also need regular maintenance to last a long time. Due to the fact that marble is porous, it is easily stained with stains from common household fluids, so it is important to use putty to protect it.
