Flight to Mexico

Mexico City Is Not a Big City, It Is a Mega City
From Tenochtitlan to Chilangolandia, History has roared and left contrasting traces. In the Centro Historico, the Templo Mayor, dedicated to Huitzilopochtli and Tlaloc, the Aztec gods of war and agriculture, adjoins the imposing Catedral Metropolitana de la Asuncion de Maria. In the chapel of Saint Joseph of this one, the Christ with the cocoa beans suggests moreover that the memory of Tlaloc is not erased. At the National Palace and the Palace of Fine Arts, the works of 20th century muralist painters (José Clemente Orozco, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and Diego Rivera) express in their own way the tensions and dynamics that still carry Mexican society. In Polanco, the Soumaya museum presents in its aluminum sheath the art collection of Carlos Slim, “the richest man in the world”.
Mexico City: Puebla
Pick up the rental car and drive to Puebla, whose historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will love the colonial architecture and the breathtaking view of the Popocatepetl, which rises to more than 5,400 meters. Mexican charm, superb patio and quality table do not miss the “mole poblano”, a sauce with spices, peppers, almonds and cocoa which flavor the meats.
Puerto Escondido
A late summer air reigns in Puerto Escondido. This small port buried in coconut palms is famous for its hippie atmosphere and its huge waves. Seasoned surfer, Zicatela, Novice, La Punta, Family atmosphere, Playa Principal, Swimming, snorkeling, Manzanillo or Angelito you can get whatever you want. Walk hand in hand? In Puerto Escondido there is a beach for every mood, every hour, and every activity. You just have to let yourself be guided by the desire of the moment. And then there is the hinterland, behind the high reliefs which rise above the bay, the small villages, the markets, the fiestas. You can also go out to sea, horseback riding, indulge in ornithology when the time comes, order a cocktail and sit in front of a special Pacifico sunset.
